Well, here we are on the other side! Phew! How was your holiday? Are you enjoying the peacefulness that comes after?
Firstly, I want to thank Kamana for showing me such friendly hospitality on her blog, Journalling Through Photos. Kamana has this knack for speaking my heart. She's so beautiful and insightful and has been a light, an encouragement and a smile of a friend to me - not to mention the many times she's magically been a balm to my heart - sharing just the right words at just the right moments. She's a resonating spirit - even though she lives in a world and a culture, technically, far away. ;) (Trust me - she practically lives on the equator!) All this and she's an intelligent and well balanced educator (I really appreciate that about her), a sweet mommy and, of course, she loves her camera, too! What can I say? I'm glad I know her! =D
Then, I'm, oh, so excited to say that, even though I've been disconnected from my photo library since my last post, I am, now, not only reconnected but working on a lovely new (to us) computer with a beautiful large and clear screen. I feel like I did in high school when I got a new piano. I've played since I was about five years old. The old spinet that I first learned on was limited - no loud - no soft - no expression. When I got the new piano, my heart, fingers and music just soared! Well, I don't know if I'm soaring with my photographic post processing abilities, yet, but I do feel like I'm testing my wings! ;) I just can't get over how much faster and clearer and capable my new tool is. The cherry on top is that, now, I'm upgraded from Lightroom 1.4 to the latest 3.6 - happy, happy, happy, happy.... I mean, now, I'm really 'cooking with gas'! (Instead of the computer equivalent of a wood stove. ;-)
Anyway, I don't want to miss the opportunity to say merry Christmas week and a happy New Year to you all! I so appreciate my blogging friends!!!
In the meantime, does anyone else think that every drop of this winter light is precious? It's so gentle - I breathe it in! So much soft blue and always something glittering. So many different colors - so much reflecting.
